On March 10, 2022, the Rima Batalova Sports Training Center hosted open competitions among people with disabilities.
The competition program included 6 sports: figure wheelchair driving, kettlebell lifting, table tennis, checkers, darts and swimming.
Children and adults from different cities and districts of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Ufa, including Blagoveshchensk, Tuimazy, Chishma, Kandra, Ufa district, came to take part in the competition. Teams from Ufa correctional boarding schools participated. №№ 30, 63, 92, 28, 59, Tuymazinskaya correctional boarding school No. 2, district organizations of disabled people in Leninsky, Kalininsky, Kirovsky, Oktyabrsky, Sovetsky, Demsky districts of Ufa, as well as independent disabled people. A total of 118 people took part in the competition.
Before the competition, the participants were registered, many athletes participated in several sports, had time to play checkers and compete in figure wheelchair driving. After the pool, those who wished also participated in other sports. It's great that so many people responded and were able to come, many from far away, to take part in the event.
The award ceremony concluded the event. The winners of the competition were awarded with medals and diplomas. The athletes who took the first places were awarded cups. The winners also received sweet gifts.
We would like to express our deep gratitude to the judging team, who tried to be attentive to the participants and fair. The event was greatly assisted and supported by volunteers from the Ufa Volunteer Association. The volunteers met the disabled, guided, registered, and helped on the sports grounds throughout the event.
Teams of athletes, disabled people, children, and accompanying persons showed an active position, perseverance, and the will to win. Thank you all for participating. We hope that the participants received new impressions, positive emotions and the desire for new achievements!
