The Social Taxi service is actively developing in Bashkortostan, designed to ensure transport accessibility for the disabled of group I and children with disabilities. The project, launched in December 2024 on behalf of the Head of the republic Radiy Khabirov, has already shown its relevance: since the beginning of 2025, more than 900 people have used the service.
How does the service work?
- The fleet of the Republican Gerontological Center Imenlek has been replenished with 8 Lada Granta vehicles, including 1 specialized vehicle for wheelchair users.
- Social taxi delivers passengers to government institutions, medical centers, social facilities, and even veterinary clinics.
- The service is available not only to residents of Ufa, but also to other settlements of the republic: passengers can get to the capital through bus stations, railway stations and the airport, having previously submitted an application.
Terms of Use
- Group I disabled people and children with disabilities can take a taxi 4 times a month.
- Passengers can be accompanied by up to 2 people, and for children under 14 years of age, adult accompaniment is mandatory.
- Transportation of bedridden patients is not yet possible, but the issue of purchasing a car with a rear lift is being considered.
Expansion plans
Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov noted that trips to medical institutions and rehabilitation centers are in high demand, but routes to cultural sites are also popular. The Ministry of Labor has been instructed to work on expanding the geography of the service and the list of available destinations.
The project continues to develop, helping people with disabilities to stay mobile and receive the necessary assistance.
